A POS should save you time and show you where your money goes. Here is what actually matters for a small shop, and what you can skip.

Start with what you need

Write down what slows you down today. Is it counting stock? Giving change? Tracking utang? Knowing your profit? Choose a system that fixes those first. Features you will not use only make it harder.

Price: look at the total, not the headline

• Is it a monthly fee, or a big one-time payment?
• Do you pay per cashier or per device?
• Are features you need sold as extras?
• Is there a contract or a cancellation fee?

A cheap monthly price can become expensive once you add staff and devices. Ask for the total for your shop.

Hardware you already have

Many modern systems run on a phone, tablet or laptop you already own. You do not always need a special terminal. A receipt printer is optional; some shops share receipts by message instead.
