POS for hardware stores

A hardware store sells nails by the kilo, wire by the metre, cement by the sack and screws by the piece, often on credit to the same contractors. Tindro handles all of those in one till.

A hardware store counter weighing nails

Selling

  • Any unit. Kilo, metre, sack, box or piece, with decimal quantities: 2.5 kg of nails or 12.5 metres of wire.
  • Credit for contractors. Sell on account with or without a down payment. Each contractor’s balance and payments are on their record.
  • Find it fast. Search a large catalogue by name, SKU or barcode, filtered by category.
  • Cashier permissions. Cashiers sell; discounts, voids and refunds can each be kept to the owner or a manager.

Stock

  • Many SKUs. Every size of bolt as its own item, each with its own low-stock level.
  • Barcodes. Use manufacturer codes, or create in-store codes and print shelf labels.
  • Purchase orders. Order from suppliers and receive partial deliveries; what you paid becomes the cost.
  • Valuation. The value of stock on hand at cost and at retail, by category.

Branches and warehouses

With the multi-branch module a store and its bodega keep separate stock, and transfers between them are recorded at both ends with a reason.
