Tindro

POS for bakeries

Bread is sold by the piece but bought by the sack. Tindro handles both ends: a quick counter for pandesal and a stock list that knows how much flour is left.

A bakery bagging pandesal

At the counter

  • By the piece or the pack. Sell pandesal by the piece and by the bag of ten as separate items, each with its own price.
  • Fast repeat sales. The morning rush is the same few items. Tap them on the grid, take cash, give change.
  • Suki on credit. Regulars who pay at the end of the week go on their own utang balance, with every payment recorded.

In the back

  • Ingredients and supplies. Flour, sugar, yeast, bags and boxes are stock items that are used, not sold, and valued at cost.
  • Recipes. Set what goes into each product and sales deduct the ingredients. A stock count at closing corrects for leftovers.
  • Suppliers. Order flour by purchase order and receive it when it arrives; the price you paid updates the cost.
  • Expenses. LPG, electricity and rent recorded against the month, for a profit figure that includes them.

A note on baking ahead

Ingredients are deducted as products are sold, not when they are baked. For a bakery that bakes in batches this keeps flour stock close, and a quick count at closing brings it back in line.
